Pretty Straightforward. I'm just curious. I'd probably like to be a cleric of Ehlonna, though I have never played one before.
In real life i'm an athiest, I can't beleive that there are any gods watching over us, my Mrs would disagree with me, as she's a christian. I'm not scared of spiders like a lot of other people are (not since my brother put a tarantula on my arm when I was young) so maybe i'd worship Lolth, not as a cleric though. Being male I wouldn't be allowed to become a cleric, however the Arachnomancer prestige class in the underdark book has some pretty nifty spider related spells available to Arcane casters, so I'd probabaly do that.
That depends on the character in the game. If the character is demi-human, the choice is the deity of the race. Half-elf equates to Elf for a deity decision. If the character is human, the choice is (1) alignment based, is (2) class based and, maybe, is (3) weapon or domain based. I leave D&D deities as an idea in the game for characters in the game.
http://www.seankreynolds.com/rpgfiles/we/greyhawkdeities.html Plenty to contemplate here for your character build. Edit: From my longest running campaign, Lord Spike never chose to reveal his deity; while Cameron Zorn, the Lord/Wizard/HP of Onnwal subscribed to the teachings of Dalt. Ranger Lord Kevlar kept his devotions secret as well. Their sometimes companion, Bartholomieux of Blue, was a Priest of the Fire goddess, Joramy.
'Fraid not. This Blue is a location, not a person. It lies just across the narrow straights between the Sea of Gearnat & the Azure Sea. A very similar city in size & function to Scant, but not in character. The inhabitants are rather a little less cordial.
