Hi, playing with the bard team, I uncapped in a very nasty situation that I often met when I played the game in the past but I always forgot to ask to Co8 forum. When entering the temple to take the Orb of GD, I fought against the wizard with the imp, but during the fight, even if there was nothing active, all my bards began to have all their new spells disrupted automatically: when I casted them or used any potion, no message appeared in the text column, but they were wasted and with no effect at all. I had to move to another area to heal them but when I came back to the area of the fight, they were able to cast spells again. Often that happened in the elemental nodes too, but what shoud it be? Anti-magic field? it looks more like a bug.
He casted minor globe of invulnerability, then the spell expired and my PCs started to have those problems like if the whole room was under an anti-magic aura.
That's a known bug in the original game. Looks like it never got fixed. If you have PCs within the area of effect when the globe of invulnerability is cast then they get permanently affected by it too. Pain in the butt - you can't even cast heal spells on them. With mods from here you might be able to get Jaroo to remove the permanency of the spell. Either kill Falrinth before he gets that spell off, or keep out of melee until he has cast it.
It often happened in the nodes too! And anyway, usually resting or moving out of the area is enough, the problem is when I need to cure the party DURING the fight! Anyway, at least I'm glad to know what it is.
