I have a halfling level 8 rogue dual wielding Wonnilon's +2 dagger and a +1 dagger of venom in the offhand. I was in the encounter vs the priests, the gargoyles and juggernaut on the second level of the temple. Ok so I rush in with my greater invis rogue to set up the flank on the main priest. I then move in and trip with my frontline fighter. I set up the AoO with another PC and then when he gets up, the attacks of opportunity ensue...fighter takes 1 swing, cleric takes 1, rogue took 3....i figured wow ok since she has 2 weapon fighting and these weapons maybe she does that now.... I then proceed to pull of a grease spell on the juggernaut and likewise set up the flanks. As it tries to rise, everyone gets their AoO in...and then as the rogue gets off the first two AoO I am smiling...until she unleashes continuous ones that kill the juggernaut far easier than it should be killed. Has anyone experienced this or have any fixes in the works? I am thinking it may have been due to Greater invisibility being cast on the rogue before the fight started as I heard that GI was causing a similar effect with another spell?
Greater Invisibility and AOO other than an AOO caused by a NPC/PC moving through a threatened area will always cause unlimited AOO. It is a problem. I wish I could fix it. I tried and tried and tried... - Livonya
I'v actualy been on the pointy end of this evil stick, a mob got unlimited AO's against one of my chars and killed him.
