Ok, I was recently able to reinstall ToEE after having had to wipe my hard drive 2 months ago. I've been playing sporadically and must say that the new mods do a great deal to enhance the game (my party got its ass handed to it facing off against the Bugbears in the Moathouse this time cause the buggers finally started using the Cure Wounds potions). One thing that I've noticed is that when the Paladin uses Lay on Hands, it does not offer a wand to target a player. It simply targets the Paladin automatically, which can be annoying as hell. Anyone have any idea if this bug is fixable?
I think you have to select the paladin, right-click the person you want to heal and then select Lay on Hands. Not really intuitive, I know.
I've never gotten a wand icon from my paladin's lay on hands since I started playing with just Atari patch 1 and all the versions after. I've always had to do it the way Morpheus says.
I'm playing with patch 2 and temple.zip only, and I get the wand almost every time (though not always). Anyway, the method suggested above works to target pretty much anything, so it should work. You also need to be careful not to right-click on somebody by accident when bringing up the menu to cast a spell. And I've found that sometimes I can't charge an enemy by selecting charge and putting the resultant sword icon on them, yet if I right click on them and pick charge, it works fine with no icon. Weird.
