I've more or less licked the game, though I haven't played since CO8 4.0. I was thinking of the Cult of Tharizdun sequel AD&D module-booklet("Return To The Temple Of Elemental Evil"), which TSR/Wizards of the Coast published a long while back. Has anyone any plans on introducing a mod which would incorporate this fascinating sequel? If not, has anyone heard if Atari is ever going to do a PC game based on that? It would be a fantastic addition to the game if someone could do such a mod. Obviously, though, one would need dozens more spells in the 6-9th spell level ctageories.
KotB (the Keep on the Borderlands) is the next biggest mod the Co8 is working on, more of our modders will focus on this project as ToEE modding is pretty much done. Atari is putting all thier hope into Neverwinter Nights 2 to save thier company's ass at the moment so don't count ot them releasing another D&D title any time soon Higher level spells are being worked on, but writing new spells does take time, knowledge of python scripting, a good grasp on the D&D 3.5 rules, and extensive testing.
I'm glad that Keep on the Borderlands is being used. I far prefer the World of Greyhawk setting to the Forgotten Realms one. Pity about Atari. Well, I didn't much like the NWN game all that much, but, if buying NWN2 helps to get the TOEE sequel then that's fine. Alternatively, some other company could buy out Atari. Things certainly became better when Wizards of the Coast bought out TSR, so hopefully something similiar will happen with PC games.
