Always preferred all the mods on here to original but anyone hear about this? Improved graphics & fixes Could be interesting
Not a remaster, just a steam release of original game with some fixes from Temple+ (at least that's what we know as of now).
Sadly I suspect it'll be an attempt at a quick money grab much like NWN2EE seems to be so far. Unless there's actual dedicated ongoing support and real prioritization so that modding communities can work with the releases, it's going to be pointless.
This release will make the game more accessible, especially to win 11 users, but it will certainly need mod support tools too, if it aims to survive in the long run.
I'm curious if there's any word on the Steam release. September is wrapping up, and there's been complete silence from SNEG. Does anyone have any information?
No information has been disclosed (officially by SNEG) since the initial announcement. In 3 days we will know if the project is delayed. I am personally assuming that the dev/-s might be encountering some issues - running this game without crushes is challenging.
Looking at some of the screenshots on the steam page and all the new UI elements, I'm going to guess they're re-writing some sections of code. I might have to crack open notepad++ and take a look again. It's been 20 years or so... (Hey Ith!)
It says Q4 2025. And yeah, I know it's already Q4, but there's also two and a half months left of it, which isn't true of September.
