Just found out I'm getting new PC at work. I've held off buying TOEE till now to all the bug issues - but now I'm ready to jump in. My question is how would you anticipate performance to be on this machine:

    IBM Thinkpad R51
    Pentium M at 1.5ghz
    512 MB RAM
32MB ATI Mobility RADEON 7500 (best IBM sells)

Would a 1.7 ghz processor or more RAM maje a big difference?
What video settings should I trade off (aesthetics for performance)?

    Any thoughts would be helpful.

I don't think there will be any problems in running TOEE on that Machine but I would like to point out that at that amount of Processing Power and amount of RAM, I don't think adding more to either of them would make any more difference. They're already way beyond the requirements. The video however is a different story.

When I first played the game some months ago my specs were:
AMD Athlon XP 1700+ (1.4 ghz)
    256 mb Ram (PC 1333)
    32mb NVIDIA GeForce 2

And the game worked well, I did afterwards tone down the Particle Fidelity since the game really slows when I'm at Jaroo's crib and in the Fire Temple Node.

So on the question about Aesthetics vs. Performance I would side to performance.

I hope my post helped you.

    P.S.
    My Current PC specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2.0 ghz)
    256mb (PC400)
    128mb GeForce 4

    And I still tone down the Particle Fidelity. ^_^;
