With Good Old Game re-releasing the original BG, I'm wondering if they might re-release Toee as well in the future. Does anyone know of anything that would prevent Toee from being re-released? They've released another Trokia game as well, so maybe it's a possibility? I assume any re-release would be the final version, including the dreaded patch 3. Hopefully a simply install of patch 2 over it would make it Co8 patch compatible. Thoughts?
I assume a re-release would involve Atari and GOG, not Troika. Who knows? Since ToEE failed in the court of public opinion, Atari has basically abandoned it, so they may not want to raise it from the dead either. If it were to be done, I agree that they would likely release it patched up to Atari 3. You can override patch 3 with patch 2, but if they rolled it all together for a re-release there could be other problems. Am I correct in assuming that GOG BG didn't ship with Tutu or anything like that?
Yup, not TUTU. It would have to be the vanilla version and they patch everything before shipping, so it would be with patch 3 installed. I supposed its possible they could ship it with patch 3 as a separate install, but I doubt it. Might be worth thinking about how to get around that I suppose.
