What are the primary timed events in ToEE? Brother Smyth masterwork items Bing masterwork items Please add to the list ... Also, do they work? Seem to not work? Seem strangely complicated? Etc. Has anyone had problems getting Burne to respawn his inventory? Is he supposed to respawn his inventory?
Other timed events: Masterwork wooden items from the cabinet maker Thrommel reward party Elven reward party Woodcutter's reward items after saving Amii Of these, Thrommel is notorious for not always happening for some people (usually works fine for me.) The woodcutter (can't remember his name) and his stuff never works for me. I never have a problem with any of the merchants and their masterwork inventories.
Sargen's reward (if it exists, I think he gives you one - or maybe that was just in the module) Aami's death All the other inventory respawns Smigmal?
Doesn't Smigmal just use her invisibility potion and you just wait for it to expire? I don't think she actually goes anywhere and then comes back. Have to see what the dlg file says. In protos she is KOS but after a certain number of rounds of fighting the dialouge starts and then she uses the potion. What determines the number of rounds of fighting and makes it stop and dialouge start? I didn't see anything in the dlg to indicate that.
Smigmal and Falrinth both have timed absences. Sargen's reward thing does exist in ToEE. Are Smyth, Bing and the cabinet maker the only guys who do the masterwork thing? I've found that respawns using C-Blue's complex script work just fine; the implementation just seems off in a lot of cases. Timed events work reliably when written properly too. That's why I need to know which ones don't seem to work. This looks like a Livonya one-sentence-per-paragraph post.
Okay, Smigmal, Falrinth, Sargen, Thrommel, Tillahi, Brother Smyth, the cabinet maker, and Bing have all been redone according to the new 'template,' if you will. I don't think there was anything wrong with Bing and the cabinet maker, but I redid them anyway. Bro Smyth had gotten broken somehow. Players will no doubt find the reward events more reliable now, and strangely, you don't have to change maps anymore to get the inventory respawns. Go figure. Any others? Speak now or forever hold your piece. (btw, Amii and Tarim are probably more complex affairs than I have time to get into right now.)
