Thoughts on solo wizard build for new content?

I just did a solo run without the new content with a human chaotic good cleric of pelor and stopped leveling up at 10. I'm thinking of doing another solo with a wizard but level cap 20 and I don't care if I end up over leveled in the beginning. I haven't seen too many toee builds out there and very few threads on any forum about toee builds especially solo builds with the new spells, etc

 

All base 18 Human Wizard with Combat Reflexes and Imp Init to start helps. Use enlarge person for reach.

 

Yeah and use long spear in the beginning too. What about spell selection?

 

For solo, expect to either go gish (fighter/mage style) with enlarge person & grease or go boom with magic missile & fireball or let the enemies kill themselves with lots of charm effects.

 

Also are there other mods for toee like the keep on the borderlands

 

I assumed you meant the Co8/Temple+ module.

 

The Shattered gates of Slaughtergard comes to mind

 

That is what I meant but had a separate question about other mods and decided to ask here. I really appreciate all your help
