Which ice hockey team you would like to see win the world championship, if not the team of your own country? I would like to see the good old Red Machine (Rossija) be the victor .
The rest of the world? China? India? Anywhere south of the equator? We have a professional hockey team here: the Houston Aeros.
Hockey, the favourite sport of the frozen wastes of the north I used to play both (field) hockey and ice hockey at school, something I learned is you can forget how to skate - maybe I've grown since then but my brain hasn't compensated for the difference in balance.
There are different divisions in the world championships. China does have a national team as does England, but in a lower division.
I'm supporting those Czech's and their giant ice rinks. You have to skate for days just to reach your wing over there.
Sixteen years of waiting and finally we are the champions!! In your faces Rossija, Sverige and that god dam Azerbaijan!!! :drunk::doublethu:evil_laug:joy::joy::joy:
Correct, the world’s most popular sport would be soccer and the “super bowl” the World Championship. But heck we just kicked the pansy ass of both our old colonial masters and THAT FEELS GOOD. (Don’t take my word for it, just ask George Washington).
And Andrew Jackson at New Orleans in 1815. The most popular hockey game in U.S. history is still the "Miracle on Ice" in which the US. Hockey team beat the Soviet for the gold in the 1980 Winter Olympics.
