So I rescued Thrommel and his knight tracked me down and gave me all this stuff. At this point, I sold all of the +1 rings as I have better. I'm curious about the necklaces. They don't seem to do anything other than identify my party as fans of Thrommel. Can they be enchanted? Do they serve any purpose or should they just be added to my huge stash of cash? Is it just me or is there a lot of items that don't serve a purpose?
They do serve a purpose; but it's only "cosmetic." They are preservatives from the PnP game, added here to provide a sense of the original. People clamor for attention to detail, and it was added in some ways, while others were ignored. They are merely window dressing, and cannot be enchanted or whatever. It'd be nice, I s'pose, at some point for the bad guys to take notice of them if they are quipped, and respond accordingly. Sell them if you choose.
