I'm really really trying not to hate this game. I played pretty much all day today (last week included too much work and an over-heating system; very bad!) and, all day I cursed the bugs, the many many bugs (I keep thinking I should take a crack at writing the base rules myself, just to see how hard it really is).

Anyway, after I killed 5 in my own party on purpose so that I could remove their permanent entangle spells, most people in Nulb hate me now. It is probably because I had to kill Elmo, so that I could bring him back. Don't they notice that I RAISED HIM? EVEN GAVE HIM HIS XP BACK?! AARRGGHH!

Is there any fix to this ridiculous bug caused by some other stupid bug that drives me crazy and that makes me question how I spend my time and if I really care to play this @!#% anymore?

(BTW: Official 1, Offical 2, co8, temple, humble)

Ok. I restored, left the town, tagged Homlet, returned, and nobody hates me.
I'm guessing it was the fact that I had to kill Mickey that set off Otis. Didn't I tell that kid to stop causing trouble here? I couldn't find him to test my theory, but I'm sure, when I least expect it, he'll pop up and ruin my night, again.

    Thanks
    jason.

Just an FYI, I hear that Liv's mod allows Jaroo (druid from hommlet) to fix permanent spell effects (although I think it does it the same way you did, by killing and restoring your character, but i dont think *that* effects your reputation like it did you) you could have also brought up the command line and set your reputation back to normal manually(the command for that is in several threads..). A pain in the butt, I know...but Toee's combat is worth it imho, I had the same anger you did, stick with it ^^

Yes, I've heard about that. I've decided NOT to use Liv's Mods.

I think I'm at the end of my rope here. I just had to randomly kill my cleric to restore his movement rate that had just mysteriously--and without mention-- degraded to 10. Pretty sweet.

Now I'm getting nothing but crashes when I try to fight that battle with the Galeb Duhr; which pisses me off anyway. I've read the posts, so I'll try to spare everybody here... no wait... c-can't h-help it AAARRRGGHH DR 15?! THEY'RE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE AGGRESSIVE!!! DID TROIKA EVEN READ THE FRIGGIN' MONSTER MANUAL (2) BEFORE DESIGNING THIS GAME?! AAARRGGHH!

Ok. I feel better now; back to being Sleepy.

Ah, I have an idea. Screw it. I'll just not go there and give each of my characters
(CR 4 * 12 / 8) XP, and avoid the whole frustrating experience.

Am I going to find less hurt when I switch to Icewind Dale? (Stupid Greyhawk, anyway. I've always been a Realms guy).

Haha yeah them galeb duhrs man...urgh...

I played Icewind Dale, have not played the sequel though. I enjoyed it alot, I mean it uses the Infinity engine - So you know its gonna be good^^. Thats the Baldurs Gate engine if you didnt know..if you didnt play the BG series yet, I would recomend that over Icewind. Icewind is alot like ToEE in the sense that its mostly combat driven, real light on the story side. But BG has the killer encounters and a tremendous story..

As far as "less hurt" in Icewind, I doubt you will encounter any bugs within.
