This morning, I installed the latest Java update (Version 8, Update 101), and since then TFE-X returns an error every time I try to run it: "The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the run time is corrupted. The system cannot find the file specified." I've done a hard reboot with no joy. Is this one of those "uninstall/reinstall" things, or is there another way around this problem?
