As some of you are aware, I'm going through the protos.tab and trying to make all the creatures conform to the D&D 3.5 rules as closely as possible. Terjon is ridiculously powerful and "broken" as far as the rules are concerned, with a large number of bonus hitpoints, a huge AC boost and saving throws that are off the charts. So, my question is what everyone thinks should be done about him.
I think this was done to make it tougher for the whichever-evil alignment to kill him straightaway. But I say to hell with it: make him what he should be.
Terjon (like everyone else) should comply with the rules, by all means make him tougher (a few paladin levels maybe?), but bare in mind that now (since Livonya's mod) if you attack Terjon, Calmert will teleport to his aid, and fighting 2 10th level clerics is tougher than fighting 1.
Was that Liv? No wonder I never heard the 'Terjon the church is under attack' line. Damn that woman had good ideas... Spuggy refusing to join in was an addition too. Yeah , fix him I guess.
Only a few more days left on this. So far making Terjon a rules-based badass is barely beating out making him mortal.
If being an "Elite" give you 2 votes, I guess I nudge rules compliant badass a bit further in the lead
Compliant, yet tougher is the way to go. Just keep it sane & in tune with the story. Hell....maybe he was a paladin of Cuthbert at some point...? Or a Billet? That could easily explain fighter levels.
There's a lot about Terjon which doesn't quite make sense (will discuss in another thread because I think Lord Spike will know these details, will forum search first though in case he's already given them out). I'd like him to be rules compliant but I would like to see him being a very tough opponent.
I couldnt kill this guy no matter how hard I tried, I voted "Make him more powerful than 10th level, but use the rules to do it"
He already is, being 10th level. (Heck, he could do it at 9th.) The reason I don't want to give him more cleric levels, since "bad ass" seems to be the way everyone is voting, is because it would invalidate the whole needing to cast Heal on Bing quest.
So the people have spoken. Terjon (and Jaroo, since he's broken too) will be a higher than 10th level, but by the rules.
