I can't help but notice that summoned creatures, in my current case animals summoned by my Druid, don't attack or even move after having been summoned. Is this a known bug? Is it KotB only, or ToEE in general? It sure makes the Druid much less effective, and a waste of a feat for "Augment Summoning". Make that two feats, along with "Spell focus Conguration".
Yeah... I can say for sure that this was massively overhauled for v2.0, where I tried to make sure every damn summoning had the same faction so they would work together, not attack each other not just stand there etc... some may be less than impressive atm. Also, some may be caught up in the 'Companion Animal' element I introduced into KotB (as per RAW) that animals had to be trained using Handle Animal to attack in many cases, they wouldn't just be automatic killing machines in every situation. It shouldn't affect summonings, but there may be overlap. Basically, try summoning right in the midst of your enemies - don't expect the animals to move. Sad but true.
I noticed it when my druid summoned two Black Bears, who did nothing but stare at the enemy they were supposed attack. With handle animal, I have had some sporadic success.
Looks like it's the faction issue. For next T+ release, summons will be stripped of their proto factions to prevent it.
