I seem to recall reading somewhere that removing the fog of war over Homlett and Nulb made navigating those maps very smooth in regards to ToEE's familiar and venerable lagginess problem. I just got done trying to slog my way through 3 or 4 repeat battles with the Galeb Duhr in the earth node and was barely able to do it for the lag. Even just walking around was painful. How about removing the fog of war for the nodes to alleviate some of this problem?
I second this idea. There must be something in the nodes that causes lag, its about time we put our heads together and tackled it.
Hm. Tried it for the earth node and it seemed to make it significantly better. Are we on to something here?
Just tried adding ", Flag: UNFOGGED" to the Node maps and I'm now getting a crash when entering the temple. Any suggestions appreciated.
Additional: Went back to my MapMes.bak and the crashes stopped. I think I'm going to take this as a signal to quit screwing with the MapMes for a while.
