Here's a bunch of stuff I've stacked for some time, but no opportunity came to use, unload or sell them: - Cheese - various wolf pelts - "luckstone" - distilled alcohol - leather pouch with dried items - various plants like belladona, wolsbane, garlic spoiler Spoiler - Dragon gall blader - ritual jambiya - minotor horn If you can help me put them to good use, would be great.
[cryptic spoilers] Spoiler - various wolf pelts: I hear a man with two sons likes these. - "luckstone": if you are lucky enough to find one of these, you can not be saved. - wolvesbane: Useful for filling boxes. Also, SHIFT + right-click for more info. [end] The others I don't know. But I think they are useful if you have the Alchemy skill. Although I like this thread. I have 2 of my own to contribute: 1) The note found on the brigand ambushers signed 'M'. 2) All the little notes found on the goblins. There are about 5 of these total.
Apparently, food is useful for dealing with the Mad Hermit in the Northern Oak Woods (although I have never solved the mystery regarding the Mad Hermit yet myself). Food is useful for completing one of the quests for the Gnoll Chief. Using the Luckstone in the character's radial menu allows you to cast the spell Guidance up to 5 times per day. It is very useful for all of those locked Chests that your rogue is just 1 off from being able to successfully pick open in the Caves of Chaos. You can sell the wolf pelts to the Trader. Distilled Alcohol can be used as a metamagic component for spells. It doubles the duration of the spell Bears Endurance. The possession of Wolfsbane is a deterrant to wild animals who may wish to attack: it grants a +2 bonus to all Wild Empathy checks. You can sell the Leather Pouch (with dried items) to Ricario (who is the Apothecary at the marketplace during daytime), but you will need to collect 3 other items (that the leather pouch is missing) before Ricario will buy it from you. Various plants like Belladona, Wolfsbane, Garlic can be used to gain entry to the Mad Wizard's Laboratory, and as spell components that can be sold to Ricario. The Ritual Jambiya is just a masterwork dagger - use it to kill opponents if you have no better weapons to use.
Spoiler tags, Gazra, spoiler tags.... For folks who just want a nudge in the right direction: The following have right-click descriptions: - ritual jumbiya (valuable item, no quest importance) - cheese (no current quest importance) - ivory figurine (valuable item, no quest importance) - wolfsbane - minotaur horn - dragon gall bladder (alchemical use not yet implemented) - distilled alcohol (can be made with Alchemy - see Guide To Alchemy) - quicksilver (can be made with Alchemy - see Guide To Alchemy) The following have quest importance or lead to dialogue if taken to the right NPC: - leather pouch - garlic - book of Heironean Matyrs - Book of the Dead Various plants such as Belladonna and Catnip are primarily there for flavour (like blank paper, ink, sealing wax and various other minor items). One day they should be more relevant. @ Marc: Someone whose name starts with M considers you a goody-goody and is trying to kill you The notes on the Goblins doesn't ring a bell at all.... :scratchhe
