Store Inventories

    Has anyone managed to figure out/ make any sense of these? I'm trying to add plate/gilded plate boots and gloves to the inventory so that when you buy MW play armors you can wear plate extremities to. Who was responsible for getting the great helm and katana in there?

    Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

    ok, at the beginning of the invensource.mes file it states:

    "Syntax:
    The descriptive name must end in a colon.
    Each list entry must be a money entry, item entry, or one-of entry
    A money entry is one of the words (copper,silver,gold,platinum,gems) followed by a comma and either a value or a range, eg. 1-5
    An item entry is described by a percentage, a comma, and a basic prototype enum (as from description.mes). Don't include a percentage sign.
    A one-of entry is a set of basic prototype numbers in parentheses separated by commas. One of these is given to the creature.
    There is a space before each item entry and none used inside an entry.
    List zero is reserved, and should not be used."

    so i make a new entry into blacksmith's row that reads: "100,6040" . which should make them appear with 100% probability. yet however they do not.

    any pointers?

    HOLY HELL YES!

    I forgot that you have to wait a few days for the store inventory to... "refresh" it works! it works!!

    Plate gloves and boots are a nice idea. I'd probably put them in Otis's store inventory though, since a regular village blacksmith (Hommlet) doesn't really craft plate items. Since Otis sells masterwork items, it's clear that he's a better smith.

    While you are on it, could you also add {5007}{Pouch of bullets}
    1 each to Brother Smyth and Otis's inventories and put both at 100%. Bullets should be common items, accessible at any ordinary store and this would address a common complaint in the buglist.

    Well the plate accessories are staying at the hommlet smith's store becuase of the Co8 MW mod that allows him to sell you MW items including plate armor. I had enough $$ to buy plate armor after i cleaned out the moathouse so having to wait until you get to nulb, when i bought the plate armor in hommlet, would be stupid. It is a descision of functionality, not practicallity.

    Now if whoever implemented the Co8 MW mod would like to move that ability over to ottis then I would then move my plate booties and mittens. However i feel this would be a bad idea, considering that if you take ottis as a follower, you would lose access to MW items.

    I will add bullets tommorow, right now it's time for sleepy sleep.
