Just a heads-up ... various sticky threads here in GD have been updated (or 're-stuck,' as it were): Relationship Rant Thread - Ausdoerrt's recent advice thread/post moved here, as well as Sergio's 'Courting A Girl' thread (and the dirk discussion, humorously ), in order to consolidate our vast tomes of relationship wisdom. Also, these successful-based-on-the-numbers threads have been re-stickied: Scryler's Music thread Irrelevent Tangents Necroticpus' Work/Job Thread Things That Are Irritating maalri's Whatever Happened To ... thread, which he regularly begged to have stickied Hopefully this will accomodate relevent posts for related and commonly active topics and make them easy to get to. Of course, Cam-Hos is still king, er ... Queen of the stickies, by a margin of like ten to one. Enjoy.
So what, I'll have to start another thread to discuss my fine-new-shiny-pointy officer's dirk and the manner I wear it at home? Nooo!!! <And while everyone is distracted, Sergio walks to find some vegetables to make a superb photo and best WHN in the WBCH thread... Too bad that vegetables do not grow on the snow.>
I admire your tenacity to fight on in the face of certain defeat, Sergio. btw, I parsed out the dirk discussion (there was more of it than I thought), so it's still available independantly below.
But to cease fighting means to be defeated with 100% probability! And now I have a silvery-shiny new dirk in a glowing black/gold scabbard! We'll see how she beats that!
