So I was making it through the game okay until now. I am down on the second level of the temple. I haven't had any trouble with any of the battles or anything that I went through with the battles I had and the monsters encountered. In noticed that during battles it would pause for a long time when the turn was on the rangers wolf companion. It would just sit there for a long time with nothing happening and not moving to the next action. It eventually would but took forever. Then I noticed that the wolfs name kept changing from the name I had given it, to just "wolf". So I finally dismissed it. Then I started having a problem when I went to the werewolves. It would go fine until my wizard would make an attack. The hourglass would drain, no action would be taken and it absolutely would not move on to the next character action. I also couldn't leave the game through the escape key. I had to ctrl alt del to end the game, restart it from the last saved point and try again. Same problems. I tried avoiding the werewolves and going to other encounters. Whenever the wizard attacked it did the same thing. I tried different spells or just attacking with the crossbow and still, same issue. Any idea what is going on?
That is abnormal ... best just to reactivate the mod and start over or go back to a save where the problem doesn't exist.
Thanks for the reply. I had kept saving over the same file as I made progress, but I did have an auto save from a point before the issues so I started playing from there again. I will start saving several different save points just in case any issues come up again, so that I don't end up only saving at a point that the issues start but I don't realize it. It is just so strange that every time I retried it, all the other party members had no problems until it got to the wizards turn.
I have had a similar problem before. I also have an issue now where sometimes the animation stops of everything on the screen, mostly in the nodes which is buggy anyway. It'll resume in 1-3 minutes, and never crashes like it used to. and ones following on that game load are minor, within 30 seconds.
Making backup saves is always a good idea for TOEE. You never know what can happen... I usually make a new save for each levelup. Also, unless you're playing vanilla, there shouldn't be any autosaves....
Does the front-end actually use some sort of checksumming to check module activated successfully? If not, maybe you should include this, a lot of dubious problems seem to be related to somehow botched activations.
