Probably it's me, doing something wrong or do not using in the right way my Fighter/Sorcer, but how does the "Spring Attack" feat work? It seems quiet simply reading the description, but even if i'm trying since Hickory Branch begin (so, about an hour of constant combat...LOL :doublethu ) I can't make the 1,5 ft step before or after engaging, leaving him (hardly) unarmored near unpleasant guy...:help: PS: Hickory is wonderful, 'till now I enjoyed very much...except the "surprise" in north corner, that gave me a very bad time -_- So, thank you all guys for implementing it :doublethu
Remember, the game is setted by default in "end turn" with foot 5 movement. So, go to options, and check if that option it's enabled. I don't remember if the "x" means that is on or off. Just try both ways. Also, Spring attack lets you move as long as you have movement. So if you move 6 feet to attack a monster, then you can move again 4 feet after the attack, provided that you still have movement (boots of speed become really handy ). Usaeful for repositionong to get AoO.
Even more fun try this with Spring Attack. Build a Fighter or Rogue (or Fighter / Rogue). Equip his with a reach weapon (Longspear) specialize and focus and craft his Longspear attack bonus through the roof. Max out his Tumble and associated Feats (Acrobatic, etc.). You can now move - Poke - move again with no AOO. Combined with a Sneak Attack it can be devastating.
