spam

    I noticed all the spam seems to come to this thread so I was wondering if thered be a way of movin this thread down 1 and see if all the spam would go to an unused thread. sort of like general discussion and general discussion1 and see if that'll work. If this makes any sense.

    Makes sense to me. Call it whatever and ID it as the spam-eater in the topic description.

    Savvy forumers will know that there's one other characteristic that all the spam-bot posts seem to share. Can anyone tell us what it is? ;)

    Perhaps it could be used as a spam-flag of sorts.

    Don't spam bots register in a jiffy? Maybe
    blocking registration if it takes faster than
    something like 10 secs? Or requiring users
    to enter a code displayed by images (dunno
    if it's already there, I registered over a year
    ago and forgot that. Hell, I even forgot that I
    have an account here. :p)

    This points to a conclusion that
    it may be one and the same bot
    type.
