PS: I had previously Just Deleted a whole thread that had been taken apparently as a request to change KOTB from Greyhhawk to Mystara...
i wasnt even sure why anyone was offended until that nice Fellow ICER expained to me they thought i was asking for a change...
no i just didnt KNOW. And thought i'd ask rather than get lost.
Sorry if the same questions coming up gets people cranky; but it really IS ususlaly easier to ask.
in my case it had the added benefit that i learned abit about how the clerics (world-specific) may be hard-coded.

    Firstly ; as to Gaear;
I ceratinly HOPE he wasnt taking it that way...
I thought it rather a compliment - without his knowledge and explaination of the old posts; one could easily be lost- that was point.
In fact i was(lost) and has to look up the characters involved - but without his comment i wouldn't have known where to start. ALOT of information on ANY site if you dont know where to start - which was exactly the point - i think the person in question; NOT having GAEAR ; may have been lost.

    secondly ; as to modders..
    are you kidding me?
I feel you really have to go out of your way to take that as an insult.
If i was unclear; what i mean is EXACTLY THIS:
i ASK because i DO NOT KNOW what is in the realm of ANY group of modders skill
    I have seen games all-but-over-hauled.
i have seen minor changes.. i have seen almost everything in between.

i was saying you never know what they are capable of NOT that they never know what THEY are doing (and then again who hasnt thought they knew what they were doing and 'broke' something they hadnt evne meant to fix?.. or is that just me)...

so AGAIN i apologize if im a bit rough around the edges...
but truly; do i have a monopoly on that?

Anyway; i hope that clarifies THOSE two points.

This thread will probley be deleted in the near future.

@ the badger; For those as to who give a shit, your appoligy seems to have been accepted.

    Some general info for you:

Now and then people may recive a warning when one of the forum leaders reports them for "bad behaviour", and generally the user in question's conduct is discused behind the sceens with the other forum leaders (along with a "default warning" to the user in question) and there is usually no need to make any of this public information. The point of the warning is that the user must have acted in some way as to bring attention to themself by breaking Co8's code of conduct. When done in private it gives the user a chance to change his/her ways, this is generally improving spelling and gramma (you don't have to be a dictionary but sht lik dis iz sht u nO), changing the tone of posts to being less pleading and whiney or agressive or excesive posting.

Just like Cujo said, we're issuing standard warnings to people who get reported. And we're taking standard action against those who misbehave. I'd like to mention that these warnings and actions are standard not only for this board, but for pretty much any moderated forum where the staff tries to keep peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Now, you'll definitely want to read these:

    http://www.co8.org/forum/announcement.php?f=31
    http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2656

Follow the rules and principles described in these threads and you'll be fine. ;)

On a side note, while there's no such rule that restricts quoting private messages on the public boards, it's generally a quite bad idea to post PMs in public places - that's why they are essentially called private messages. I don't particularly mind that you quoted my warning PM, I'm just giving you a hint that you may do yourself a bad turn some day if you keep doing it. ;)
