...across this great big blue marble of ours, I thought I'd share this with anyone interested in googling it. Download and install, and you'll get a better view (..well, sort of...) than the Discovery crew. Found it on a kayaking site...pretty cool tool for planning boat trips. Even the free version rocks, and has lots of nifty things to check out.

    Enjoy!

If that thing was updating real-time, I'd be showing my ass out of the window for the whole world to see all the time. Err... I mean... not myself... but I know someone who would. Um yeah.
Alas the thing doesn't work that way...

Sorry for the lack of feedback, I certainly got it. I clicked on SYdney and didn't know what to do next. My dad has heard of it somewhere and has already given me a CD to fill with pix of our house.

The vast majority of where I spend my time now isn't in the hi-res areas...somewhat disappointing. But, I can get a lot of cool views on the places where I spent (...mis-spent?) my youth.

I think I'll head for Sydney, and see what Ted's world is like...

Edit: Can't find the Opera House...Damn..!

Something must be wrong...or you stay wet all the time.

That location is east of Timaru & south of Wairema at the edge of the continental shelf.

Bugger, the internet is wrong, I'm in Christchurch (north and east of Timaru) it probably suposed to be 43° 33' South. So I'm not wet "all the time".

    S 43*31' / E 172*38' = Christchurch

You ought to try Google Earth (if you haven't already...)

    Only a few degrees off...

Oddly enough, I 'met' a fellow named Tam from Christchurch; working right here in a chinese food joint. Never saw a NZ driver's license before...awful long way to come to serve up egg rolls. I still see him from time to time; it's the egg rolls, you know...

    N 34*91' / W 79*48' (more or less...)

I think 43° 34' South. 172° 32' East is more like it as I live in Halswell (a suburb of CHCH) which is slightly south and west of the main City.

Is this what his licence looked like (Ted might get this joke)
