Richard Garriott (a.k.a. Lord British) has a funded Kickstarter project called Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues. I can't help but think of Ultima Online when I see this, I know they say you can play in off line mode, but I'll just have to wait and see for myself. It is exciting news to know that Tracey Hickman is writing much of the story for the single player mode.
