So... At last, in december 2007, the official ditributor of ToEE in Russia - Akella - localized the game. Oh, only 4 years passed. :) Finally we got it. But actually... this version was the original. No patch, yeah, yeah. Funny, indeed. Of course, Akella does not want to make patch, so there's only one hope for fans - ME! Hm, joking. :) Just want to make the patch that brings the russian language to the official, patched, english version of the game. So, here is the question - where does the game store... mm ... language files? And does the official patches did some changes in in-game text? As i noticed, some fonts & subtitles are in the ToEE4.dat, which is not present in russian version. Probably already extracted. But language files is somewhere else too. But i dunno where.

PS. Sorry for my bad English.
PPS. Is it really bad? :)

Well... the "language files" are all over the game. You have
to unpack one of the .dat files to see. It's really a lot of
text.... practically all of the .mes files plus dlg files... and
naturally, the patches changed a few things in the dialogue
files. It'll be a tedious task... I tried to localize Co8.5.0.0
to Polish but eventually I dropped the idea, some files went
corrupt, I had to format my hard drive and the back up wouldn't
    work. :/

PS. Your English is not that bad. Well at least in the eyes of a non-native
    speaker like me. ;P
