After getting info from the Lizardman Shaman/Leader, I made sure that my Cleric and Druid prepared Resist Energy and Endure Elements. However, it turns out that these spells had zero effect. The spell slot got used, but no flag appeared on the recipients, and when the Acid started flying, they had no protection against Acid. Is this a known bug?
Hi @florian1 , I'm afraid I coudn't replicate this. Casting Endure Elements / Acid, both Cleric and Druid varieties, gave my PCs the little flag and duration of spell, and when they threw acid over each other they got 'Invulnerable (5/-)' in the rolls window and it reduced damage by 5. Will try Resist Energy next.
I did a quick test while in the Keep. My druid and cleric both cast resist energy acid and endure elements on some of the party members. No flags popped up on the PCs when the spells were cast on them. I will do another test, and then send the save file to temple+ to see if they can find anything wrong with my game.
In the save game I sent to temple+ support, I had my druid cast resist energy: acid on one PC, and resist energy:fire on another. The fire version worked just fine. The Acid version not at all, except the spell slot was used up.
Ok, well I will try again (haven't tested Resist Energy as mentioned) but it sounds like a bug Temple+ has introduced.
Sorry about this @florian1 , but I've tested both Resist Energy and Endure Elements in the Keep and as per the pic below, they work perfectly, both in providing protection and providing their little tags etc (the second PC has Endure Elements, the 3rd and 4th have Resist Energy). Unless someone can confirm this with a regular install, I have to conclude this is a bug introduced by Temple+. I have nothing against Temple+ - I find it quite impressive - but I have stressed in the past, some of the new elements of KotB are using (or bending) some of the existing bugs / exploits in the engine, and as such I do not recommend using it with Temple+.
If I'm lucky, the temple+ support people might find a fix, if it is a temple+ problem. Thanks for looking into it.
Yeah, it looks like the ACID enum wasn't defined in Temple+. Fixed for next version (should be soon).
