Is there any way to enable rerolling in ironman? I'm not trying to get 18s across the board. It's just that, in an unforgiving mode in a game that's already unforgiving, it's a little much to ask me to play with chars whose stats for example don't go above eleven :p

I think ironman is broken. You may have to play a regular game and impose ironman restrictions on yourself.

Don't play in Ironman, saves are easily corrupted. Just simulate Ironman in regular play instead.

I have done Ironman, as recently as Mod 5.something with no ill effects. I enjoyed it but it is dangerous. If you want a "reroll" you just need to back up to the previous screen before continuing.

Also, if you are insane enough to run Iron Man (I, too, recommend regular play and simulate Iron Man) I suggest playing only in Windowed Mode. It is more stable and if the unthinkable happens, like most of the Party wipes, you can simply close the Window and the last played episode will not save. You can reload from the last save.

You can only do this if there is one PLAYER CHARACTER is left alive. As soon as you lose the last PC, even if you have recruited NPCs in the Party, the end credits roll with failure screens.

Of course closing out to avoid a wipe, is essentially NOT playing Iron Man, now is it?

That, and the instability issues, are why I don't do it anymore. ;)

I tried Ironman in vanilla TOEE- just kept exiting the screen until I got the stats I wanted. As soon as I gathered the party and started to adventure the game crashed- haven't tried it since...
