Having returned to TOEE after a long absence, I have searched around but can't find an answer for what in am trying to do. I am playing with the latest co8 pack.

At 3rd level I have realised that my Wizard's school specialisation is too restrictive, and I should have avoided choosing one.

I have created a new 1st level Wizard I could add to the party, but need to get rid of the old one first

    So I could either:
    - Edit the character file to change the spell school (don't know how)
    - Remove the character from the party. I thought this could be done with the book in the inn, but there is no option to remove someone despite what guidance says
    - Destroy the character from the command line.
    - Let my Wizard charge into battle while everyone else hangs back and wait for the inevitable.
    - Have a 6 PC party, don't know how to do this.

    Any advice welcome.

Having a 6 PC party requires you to alter the options in the launcher you use to start your game TFE-X and Temple+ both have options available to do just this.

TFE-X options are in the menu options in the top left corner or rhe launcher window.

Temple+ options can be accessed by runnimg the Temple+ Config tool exe rather than the Temple+ exe.

Alternarively killing your unwanted Wizard, looting any gear, and clicking on the red circle with ? symbol on their portrait will dismiss the character with no repercussions.

Actually you don't have to configure that in Temple+, the number of PCs is just flexible.

Also you should be able to get rid of the PC from the logbook by clicking on the portrait in the bottom row, the Add button should change to Remove.

    Thanks for both replies.

I wonder if I have been trying to do 'remove' incorrectly... I was clicking on the person in the list on the left, not the picture at the bottom.

When I get home I will give that a go and see if it works.

The problem was me being a n00b and trying to select the party members in the list to remove rather than from the bottom of the screen.

One Wizard now changed for another, equipment swapped and experience set to same as the other party members.

    Thanks for the advice.
