I still can't read magic, what am I doing wrong? I tried the first fix which was 1.5 Kb and pasted it in the temple/data/scr file in GOG directory. Nothing. Searched around and found yours which was slightly larger at 1.7Kb. Pasted it in the data/scr file. Still no change. Do I have to start a new game or is there something else I'm missing? Edited to add, I notice when you use the Read Magic spell the yellow cloud appears and the sound effects are there, but the swirls numbers and letters aren't, and the scrolls and potions aren't identified.
Moved this to its own thread ... we'd like to keep the mod submissions threads clean, because they're essentially just repositories.
Well the 1.7kB one is a goof on my part - I just submitted the only version. Must have reverted the mod and forgot about it. The 1.5kB file should work, though. Are you sure it didn't append the file with a number, like "Spellxxx - read magic (1).py"?

Stan, the 1.5kb file from the bugs thread works fine for me, so I don't know what's wrong. Are you positive it's the right file? If you are, please post a save that demonstrates the problem + your read magic file and I'll have a look.
