Any thoughts on a way to penalize a cleric or druid for violating the tenants of their faith? I know that only Paladins can become fallen in TOEE; however, there is no options for Clerics. Example: If a cleric of Saint Cuthbert or Pelor becomes a butcher of Hommlet I want them to be penalized - perhaps permanently losing a few points or charisma or a level or two? Until they atone? If a party with a cleric of Pelor declines to heal an injured woman I want him to become fallen. Perhaps, a new spell effect could penalize the fallen cleric and a new spell to dispel this specific spell. The spell effect would be of high enough level such that a 3rd level dispel magic spell could not dispell it.
Are clerics supposed to fall in 3.5 core rules? I suppose you could script some penalty using the Co8 custom scripts for setting abilities et al and fire that either from dialog or attach it to getting the Butcher rep ...
Yes, in core 3.5 rules clerics, paladins and druids can become fallen if they grossly violate the tenants of their deity. This applies to characters of both good and evil alignment. Atonement: "Restore Cleric or Druid Spell Powers: A cleric or druid who has lost the ability to cast spells by incurring the anger of his or her deity may regain that ability by seeking atonement from another cleric of the same deity or another druid." PS: Thanks for the assistance. I am thinking that reducing their wisdom by 5 - would reduce their ability to cast spells to level x or below... i.e. The minimum Wisdom score needed to cast a clerics, druids, paladins, or rangers spell is 10 + the spell’s level
