Had a catastrophe with KotB, I hacked in half a dozen cats, went look for a model, and...

no cat?

I coulda sworn I have seen them wandering around Hommlet (probably thinking of Tibby in Britian, but what the hey). Anyways, I'll be hornswaggled if I am letting Mr Fluffy, Sir Purrsalot, Marmalade and the rest get left out!

So what can I use for a cat? Is there a dire tiger or summonable panther or something I am missing in the game?

 

If it helps ted, I used a small wolf for the cat familiar, it doesn't look or sound quite right, but it's the closest model I could find (it's either the dog/wolf/jackel model or the leucrotta model).

 

The cat familiar eh? That was my next question... a wolf? Curses!!! <wanders off grumbling>

 

I should just head over to the Ultima pages and try to find Dr Cat.

I was thinking of reskinning the leucrottas as horses (ok, not thinking THAT seriously, Cujo pointed out it was not the best idea) but yeah, I think a shrunken one of them would make a nice cat, all things considered.

I wasn't thinking talking cats, but a realistic sounding purr, meow, caterwaul and hacking 'here comes a furball' cough would all make it into the game, if Zorn feels so inclined. Or I could just speed up a TIE fighter

I must say, Zorn's recordings are very high-quality hi-fi. Aside from that, I may be able to turn up a hi-fi cat for you.
