Okay, I discovered a strange problem today. (it might be old news to some, though if it is old news nothing was done about it as there are several errors in the protos.tab because of this). There are two columns in the Protos.Tab file that are switched. Troika often put the script line for san_new_map in the san_join column. This mistake was never caught. Phalzyr's TOEE Protos editor has these columns labeled incorrectly. However this "mistake" makes perfect sense as Troika already made this mistake. There were about 5 or 6 instances where Troika put the script tag in the wrong column, which is why Phalzyr made this mistake. Anyway, anyone working on a new Protos.tab editor or anyone using Phalzyr's editor should know the following: column 304 is the san_join column column 306 is the san_new_map column Once I realized this I was able to fix many of Troika's scripts. There were a lot of cool things that could happen in TOEE but simply never happened because they put the tags in the wrong columns. - Livonya
This is a really cool discovery! Thanks a lot for this information. It'll definitely become handy when a new protos.tab editor is written! Also, I'm really looking forward to see what things could happen in ToEE when the original Troika scripts are fixed this way! Thanks, Liv! - Agetian
