Problems leveling-up

I am having problems leveling-up one of my wizards. He is only level one, leveling to level 2, and is in the spell selection screen. I only have one spell to choose from(only one spell is highlighted) and two speel spots to fill. I right click the spell to add add it to my slots but have no other spell to add so cannot finish leveling up. Please. Any help is appreciated.

 

I've never heard of this problem before. Is your wizard a specialist? Did you use a cheat of some kind to increase the number of spells he knows, either directly or by giving yourself scrolls? Those are the only reasons I can think of that all the spells would be grayed out.

Can you scroll the list up or down? Does this allow you to see more spells you can choose?

 

I bought some scrolls earlier and learn a few spells off of them. I also used a trick to have 18 in all stats except INT. I have a score of 38 in Int. These are the only things I have done to him.

Seriously, if you're trying to munchkin the game then wierd issues like this will crop up. I can't think of a fix for your issue other than coding a spell which does nothing or adding an existing spell with enough difference to register as a new spell and then using that to level up with. Don't ask me how to do it though, cos I don't know. Might be worth seeing if there's a guide or something in the general modifications forum by doing a forum search there.

Yeah, a 38 Intelligence would do it. Between that and your scrolls, it sounds like you learned every spell except that one. Hence your problem.

 

use the console to knock you intelligence down alot so you're only smart enough to learn one spell

 

That wouldn't work. Intelligence determines number of spells known at 1st level, but after that it's always 2 per level.

 

I hate to bring this issue back up. But I to am having the same problem. Has anyone found a fix. I am going from 2nd to 3rd level. I have not learned any scrolls. I only have 18 for intelligence. I have not put in any cheats. When I get to the spell selection. It only asks me for 1 spell. If I select a spell, nothing. stuck. I thought I should be able to pick 2 spells. Anyone?


Nevermind. I figured it out. Newbie mistake. I couldn't see the slot for the 2nd spell on my screen. sorry. Maybe I should play with the lights on. (insert joke)
