Problem with installation.

When I try to install the game, after popping in the install disc, I get a message along the lines of "Wrong disc. Please insert Install Disc 1."

All my drivers are up to date, and I've tried installing it on 2 PC's. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

You're sure you didn't insert the Play Disc by mistake?

 

I don't see the solution to his problem up there. Any other ideas?

You could try copying the cd's to your hard drive, and then installing from there. I seem to recall having read that this works somewhere before; I hope you find success. Let us know if this works, and maybe some kind soul will add it to the aforementioned thread.

 

Yes, fairly confident about that. I also tried making an image of the CD and mounting it with a virtual drive, but that failed too. Although instead of telling me I had the wrong disc inserted, there was just an error with setup.exe.

EDIT: After trying everything possible, I just returned the game for another copy. This one worked, so apparently it was just the individual disc screwing up.
