    Are you playing in Windowed mode? I have a vague recollection that that causes such problems.

    Thanks, gentlemen. I'm going to see if I can figure out whether there's anything up with my keyboard and also make sure I'm not running it in windowed mode. The game ended up freezing on me just after I loaded saved games, so I'm going to reinstall first, I think.

    Edit: reinstalling worked but probably not because the initial installation was messed up. Rather, I discovered that I had installed the game in a folder titled "Temple of Elemental Evil" in my C:Temple of Elemental Evil folder. Like a freaking Russian nesting doll is how I installed it apparently. Regardless, console works and I'm having a better time with an extra level against Dire Bats and Wererats.

    Everything was working so well and then I hit the
    ambush after "finding" the jade necklace encounter
    on my way to the Rivermist Inn and once I won that battle I tried to loot the corpses of my enemies and they are not interactable. I rested a few times to see if I could pick up the loot after the bodies disappeared, leaving just the gear/gold etc. on the map but no.

    Still no way to pick anything up. I vaguely recall this being an issue discussed somewhere in the thread but I can't find it after re-reading around 20 pages and using the search function. I'm guessing I screwed something up with the console and will have to revert to an earlier save or just restart again.

    On another topic: has anyone heard from Marc about how development is going or whether he's thought about releasing another version of the module with just the fixes he's implemented and discussed here? Reading back through this thread I was impressed yet again by how much work and thought he put into making Paladin's Cove. It's such an incredible accomplishment that it'd be a shame if it wasn't completed.

    The issue with looting dead enemies appears to now be an inability to interact with anything directly.

    I reloaded from a much earlier save and went through most of the village quests to gain some levels. I left town again after messing with Todd in the Inn and got the encounter again. Still could not loot but I decided to see if it was only that battle because while I don't remember what was dropped I know it wasn't worth going through the two or three hours I'd need to try again. Torv died in that battle so I used the map to get back to PC and then discovered I couldn't interact with guards to get "directed" to the temple of Rao. So I used the "talk" command on a stationary guard, got to the temple and that's when I realized I could not enter the temple because I could not interact with the door.

    FWIW this is a clean install with only the GoG version, C08 additional content and Paladin's Cove. No Temple+ this time.

    I think I'm going to take a break from PC again for a while . Hopefully Marc will release the next iteration before too long and I'll have a good reason to dive back in from the start.

    does anyone know if Marc is actively working this? For that matter, does anyone know if Marc is OK?

    Marc made it clear he will not be around much, and will work at his own pace. Hopefully he is ok, but otherwise, we have to be patient, keeping in mind he promised a v1.0 for many years, and DID deliver.

    Well, finally got round to installing this and having a look, and, WOW, what can I say? It occurs to me that between having played the original TOEE in P&P in the final days of AD&D first ed and cRPGs generally having somewhat rail-roady plots, this may well be the most novel and intriguing games I've played. Truly amazing work. Just as an example, I did the quest to take the dying old man's unholy sword to the Rivermist Inn- not quite sure that I trusted the Guildmaster after speaking to the old guy, so met with the holy woman the old man sent me to see first. Turns out that she seems to be a priestess of Nerull, while the Guildmaster's courier also seems a bit dodgy. Perhaps the old man was confused? Anyway, the mysterious southerner has the sword, and the priestess is dead. Now it turns out that the Guildmaster is an anti-goblin racist and has cut ties with me when I refused to be a hired thug, so who knows? But it will be a lot of fun finding out.
    Having had a rummage through this thread, it appears that most of the issues that I've had have been covered, and Marc appears not to be currently active to respond anyhow, so I won't start listing here unless something changes.

    One question though: It appears that my current (1.0.98?) version of T+ isn't compatible (when I loaded via T+ I got the 'all naked' issue, which resolved when I loaded via the Temple Front End. Am I correct in understand that perhaps v 1.0.95 or 96 is compatible? I've just arrived at a point where I can move on to chapter 2, so there's a long way to go in my current game, but I can see a lot of fun in replaying with T+ options available. Non-binary Tiefling Swahbucklers for the win!

    I've had issues with all T+ versions, been playing vanilla hoping when Marc does the final update T+ will work better.

    I swear I saw this somewhere in a thread, but I ran multiple searches and could not find it:

    When I cast Haste, all I get is "spell already in effect" for everyone in the party.

    I just got this module started after spending a very long time reading all of the posts here. The artwork is outstanding! I used FrontEnd to start the game. Everything looks fine in town and on wandering encounter maps. However, when the party arrives at the mountains to help the barbarian with his quest, all I see are the blue circles for both my group and the hobgoblins. I tried with windowed and non-windowed. Is there a solution for this? I have seen this happen with dismissed / dead NPCs - but never with the living.

    if you are using T+, I recommend restarting in vanilla.

    I agree. Until the Temple+ guys formally say they have created a version of Temple+ designed for Paladin's Cover - which they are under no compulsion to do, and they may legitimately choose to postpone until until Marc has released a post-beta version - then not using Temple+ is the way to go.
