    Hey,

I was messing around with an install of the original (not SNEG) version of the game from GOG tonight. I found out something surprising. I was able to level a character up to 20.

So, my question is, what version of the game is actually on GOG, as the "legacy" version? Was there a version of the game with the level cap removed? I downloaded this two years ago, and it's like this. And it's not just an installer that pulls from the network, because it works with internet turned off.

So, I assume that is the version I have downloaded. But my copy was downloaded years ago as well. It predates them shuffling anything around w/r/t the new release.

I actually found an old directory that I had installed ToEE to in 2021, and the DLL is identical to what I get installing today. So whatever is going on, it's been the way things are for a while.

I think I have a DVD copy somewhere that I could compare with, but I'd rather not go digging around to find it.

GoG uses a version of the moebius dll (more or less same as 3.0.4 or 4.0 Co8 DLL, forgot which one). I think it's because it fixed a mouse glitch.

    Ah hah. That explains it.

It must be 4.0. Another discrepancy I ran into was that T+ had a bug letting you select Power Attack with 12 strength sometimes. This was an original Atari bug, and the wiki lists it as fixed by Co8 4.0. However, it wasn't happening in my vanilla install from GOG.
