I'm just thinking out loud here, slightly wondering what other people think now here is what I think is the likelyhood of one of the opening vignettes occuring to some one else - another party getting the LN vignette if you were CE for example. KEY likely the event would've occured unlikely that other party would be in the area likely the event would've occured likely that other party would be in the area unlikely the event would've occured likely that other party would be in the area unlikely the event would've occured and unlikey that other party would be in the area LG - the raid would occur, with or without a LG party showing up to ruin the bandits raid NG - Y'Day would still be murdered - some one coming to talk to terjon about it on the other hand - maybe CG - elves would still be lost, posablity of a different (NPC) group being sent to replace the the CG PCs group LN - the lord major would probabley still send a party to invesigate TN - jaroo would still have not sent his report, another party might be sent but its unlikely - altho your party might've mades its way into the report (if another party was sent its unlikely that you'd meet) CN - probabley no one would find the map and go to hommlet LE - Turuko would (is) be waiting at the welcome wench, a different party might've responed to hextors summons instead of yours. NE - it would be unlikely that someone else burned down Terjons other church CE - highly unlikely that a party would kill the right peasants and find their way to hommlet. the thought behind this is the posablity of encoutering other parties trying to complete their own "vignettes" breaking some of the quests or doing parts of the game for you - eg sorry sir paladin Lareth has just steped out with a LE party but you can still kill us to clear the moathouse. the idea was to have parties of NPCs that are the pregenerated characters that couldn't be in your party cos the alignment is to far out.
