    To get it click here
. When you go to unzip the file, make sure you unzip it in your main ToEE directory just above the 'data' and 'module' folders. And make sure you enable using folder names. And make sure you choose to overwrite files when prompted to do so. You will find the readme for this release in your main temple of elemental evil directory called 'newspells.txt'. If you already have file named that in that directory, back it up. In fact backup everything.....

    Oh, and have fun.....:)

EDIT: found bug in delayed blast fireball whereby targets were taking damage twice if delay was set to zero. If you downloaded after 5:43 PM GMT, Nov 30, 2005. otherwise get the fix. below. make sure to unzip the file in your data\scr folder under your main ToEE install directory and confirm overwrite.

EDIT: updated description.mes and protos.tab provided by Allyx to zip file. Fixes inconsistencies between the spells and Co8 mod. Please redownload to get this fix.

EDIT: Could everyone redownload the package if they dowloaded before now. THe time now is 4:33 pm GMT friday december 2, 2005. Sorry to be such a pain.

EDIT: THE TIME IS NOW GMT 9:00PM, Dec. 13, 2005 and the fixed spell release is done. Please read the file 'newspell.txt' in the zip to find out the limitations....

EDIT:THE TIME IS NOW GMT 4:19 PM, Dec. 19, 2005 and a new version of the new spells has been released . Fixes a bug with the interaction between heal and mass heal and tensers transformation that was causing a CTD. A few minor tweaks are included, the documentation is expanded (thanks to Cujo for the suggestion) and the fix for the paladin spell "Holy Sword" is included. Please redownload to get the fix.

EDIT THE TIME IS NOW GMT 7:43PM, Jan 25, 2006 and the new spell sounds by Gaear are now available, along with some minor tweaks and new 'eye-candy' by me. Please redownload to get the new stuff.

Okay, the time is now 7:28 PM GMT, Jan. 26, 2006 and there are fixes for the spell release of yesterday Please redownload to get them

Okay, as far as the single bears endurance thing, I goofed (again) get the fix here. Another goof, which is now fixed in the main download, is the existence of extra directories in the .zip. In explanation, I just switched to PKZIP recently and while it is more powerful than Winzip,it does things a little differently and I am still figuring things out..... Basically, if you unzipped the old (ie yesterdays) .zip you will now have some new directories under your main ToEE install directory. the new directories will be: rules, art, mes, scr, sound. If you know for sure that you did not yourself add those directories under your main ToEE directory than you will be safe in deleting them. If you are not so sure and need assistance then I can write a batch file that will delete all of the files that were erroneously added by yesterday's update (Jan 26, 2006: ie the magenta post above )

THE OFFICIAL RELEASE IS HERE! This does not mean there are no bugs left, it just means I have dealt with most of them and, before I go introducing more I am going to say its done (at least for now :)), You can call this version 1.0.0 if you want.

    Clickhere to get it.

Hey darmagon, great work mate, I haven't tested the new spells yet - but I will as soon as I have a high level group.

I ran a file compare today, to put these new spells in the game.... you used the files I uploaded in the "of darmagon and Allyx" thread to mod from didn't you? I just thought you should know most of the stuff I uploaded got dropped from the Co8-4.0.0 patch awaiting a more competant scripter to fix the Power Word spells among other things (could you take a look at those?).

Okay, if you downloaded the new spells before this time (5:43 PM GMT. Nov. 30, 2005) then you are going to want the hot fix for delayed blast fireball posted in the first post in this thread. If you downloaded after that, now worries.

Hmm... maybe I'm not getting something, I tried the latest version of the mod, tried to cast Tenser's Transformation. Got all the bonuses fine, but my INT got reduced to 1. I think it was done to prevent further casting, but there was a further problem: I tried to rest in order to get rid of the effect, but no matter how long I rested, I still had the "Feeblemind" effect which reduced my INT to 1, thus preventing all my abilities to cast anything.

On the whole, great work, Darmagon! Keep it up! :)

Okay, your int and cha scores should be reduced to those level. I applied spell feeblemind ( along with other conditions) to the spell object that controls how the spell works. My idea was that, since you were not supposed to be able to cast spells and since using the spell object to apply a reduction in those scores did not diisable spell casiting( as required by the spell) applying feeblemind to the spell object was a suitable workaround. But the conditions should go away when the spell object is destroyed. I have not had any problems with this spell along those lines. I have tested ( and just retested ) resting, passing time, and combat and the spell comes to an end when it is supposed to. Can you check if the spell object is still in your inventory after the spell is supposed to have expired?

I don't know what may have happened given what you have experienced. I have even tested this spell (and all the other spells) over a save and they have worked fine.

Yeah, the thing is still in my inventory after I rest... I will re-test it today again, and I'll try to give you some extra info on what exactly I did. From what I remember I just cast it and then tried to rest, and then the thing failed to work for some reason. More info to come a little later ;)

Hmm... further testing shows that only the beneficial effect of the Tenser's Transformation wears off correctly, the Feeblemindedness seems to stay there forever, for me it happens every time (both if I rest and if I just wait for it to wear off). In addition, the spell object still remains in my inventory forever.

Just tried the Tenser spell. Worked fine for me on a saved game of consoled up characters. The spell object vanished at the end and could be passed around while it was still about with the effects switching on and off fine with each character.

For some reason however, I can't get the fireball to fire. It casts, it delays, and then nothing. Will keep testing to see what is happening (cos it's probably something I'm doing wrong) but can't figure it out atm.

Strange. Could it be some kind of protos.tab incompatibility?... I use Co8 4.0.0 with the latest set of Darmagon's files (the one published specifically as Co8-4 compliant)

Hmm. I'm running v4, with all current fixes (except gnoll caravan because that works for me for some reason). Just extracted the spell zip to ToEE after making backups. Downloaded the spell zip this morning so sure it's latest version.

Am I missing something I need to install? Although all the other spells work fine..

Same here. I'm running exactly the same configuration, but Tenser doesn't work for me at all (well, it does, but I have a problem that I reported earlier). Other spells seem to work fine, didn't try the Delayed Blast Fireball yet.

    Strangeness.

    edit: meh, post sent unintentionally.

Tenser for me just wore off fine. The spell object vanished and then back to normal. One thing which does interest me is what happens if the inventory is full when it is cast. Where does the spell object go?

edit: when cast with full inven, then no spell object appears but the spell functions normally on the wizzy.
