Okay, I'll admit, I'm probably weird, but I actually preferred it when the NPCs leveled themselves up, as opposed to my figuring everything out for them. Can anyone tell me which files to remove so that they pick their own feats again, even after installing the newest series of patches? I'd really appreciate it.
I think the file is leveup.tab in the Temple of Elemental Evil/data/rules folder. Delete it, and NPCs should level up by themselves again. Be aware though that NPC levelling is very bugged.
What Morpheus said. Left to their own devices, NPCs will take non-sensical feat and skill progressions (Exotic Weapon: Gnome Hook Hammer anyone?) and spellcasters will never learn new spells. Which was the reason for the mod in the first place.
This could be fixed, but I am not sure what the point is... It is more enjoyable to get to build them yourself. However, if someone wanted to rebuild the levelup tab then that could be done... there are lots of errors in it which is why it didn't work before, but I do believe that it would work if re-built. all that it would take would be some time and a lot of effort... plus you would need to know the D&D rules very well so that you built a levelup process that would make great choices... also I don't think there are enough tab slots to allow for all the proper choices all the way up to level 10 but I might be wrong about that... - Livonya
