I had previously rested in the Inn before taking the quest. I spoke with the innkeeper's wife and headed to the basement and killed two spiders. She told me afterwards the rat was upstairs...so proceeded upstairs...and no rat. Just a caravan guard...whom I hired. Dwnstairs...upstairs...downstairs...upstairs...no rat. Is there something I am missing? Thanks for hearing me out.
