(newbie) What does microsoft.net2 do?

    According to the guide for installing the updates for ToEE, you must install microsoft.net2. Can someone explain why, and what does it do? Please help.

    It is a required program for the Frontend to work, while using the Frontend at this time isn't compulsory, it is advisable, especially if you want to download the KotB mod in the near future.
