Hi! I live in Canada and I tried to purchase this game online through a service similar to Direct2Drive. It wouldn't let me though as it says I am out of their selling territory. Crap in a hat. So I went to an online store from New Zealand (they seem to have tons of good stuff I always want with good prices) and I ordered a copy. I should have it in a couple of weeks but I have some questions... Which Patch version do I need? Will the game be patched up to the latest version if I am buying it new now? Will the USA patch work with the New Zealand game? I am assuming that the game is going to be the European English Version...would that be the same as the USA version? Any help would be appreciated as I want the game to work and I wanna be able to install the awesome Circle of Eight mod! :mrhappy: THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLY!!!
Hey dude, sorry for the delay. Only install Patch 1 and 2. If the game comes to you already patched to 3, then install patch 2 over it. And you'll need to have .net 2 installed on your computer. then you'll be good for co8 stuff. You can get the patches from Atari.
THANK YOU so much! I can't wait to play this game, and I am kicking myself for not purchasing it a couple of years ago when I saw it in stores. I have WINXP SP2 so I should have the .net stuff already installed. Thanks again!!!
congrats on ordering. I remember discovering that Atari had deleted TOEE from it's web site about a year ago. do they still market the game? I didn't realize you could buy the game as software without the CD. I live in BC now, though i joined Co8 when i lived in San Diego.
