New Band

As some of you may know, I used to do music journalism. So a friend asked me to go to see her boyfriend's band. Wow! They were supporting Badly Drawn Boy and put on a great gig. They're a kind of indie/rock/alt outfit. Very 'Manchester' sound in some ways.

The quality of recording is quite bad really,
we were recording this on a laptop... a while
ago. :/ We're still looking for vocals...

I've seen the pics before but not actually listened - think last time you posted about the band I had a ludicrously slow connection making music/vids impossible to do.

Video of Hey Bulldog playing their intro. Sound quality sucks a bit, but it's still such a cool intro.

Hehe, the quality is not that bad. If we get our hands on a
digital camera we'll have an uploaded video from the gig...
but for now there's only hope for a MiniDV one... so it's more likely
we'll have a VHS cassette... :/ (does anyone even use these
anyway?)

Are you going to play an instrumental set or have you got a vocalist (ahem - Maggit?) sorted out?

 

Instrumental. Of course, we've thought about something to
make up for the lack of vocals. Don't want to post any spoilers
yet, but if everything works as planned our short appearence
should look very cool.

 

Intriguing. At least get a sound recording so we can have a listen

 

Maggit, I havn't said so yet but I quite like your stuff especially because its instrumentals and some times that all I want to listen to, if the tempo increased in some songs that would be nice.

 

Listening to some new rock band music would be cool, even if it were instrumental music.

Well, we know that we lack tempo... sometimes it really
depends on how fast we start playing <jk>. Anyway, we've been
thinking about making our new songs kinda more energetic, if you know
what I mean... some of the recordings at myspace are a bit outdated, we
changed a few things, tweaked them a bit... but anyway, whose band thread
is it, huh? Let's not hijack this one anymore.
