Hello. I have 2 dead characters in my party at the moment and need to find somewhere to raise them. When I speak to the Archcleric Terjon there is no Raise Dead option in the dialogue tree. Is there somewhere else I can go? Thanks, Hooner
Well, you can go to the druid Jaroo. He has reincarnate. He'll tell you that it's possible that the character may not come back as the same race, but it's never happened to me. Plus it's quite a bit cheaper.
Hooner : Are you sure it's Terjon your speaking to, (the guy upstairs) the one downstairs can't do it. He has resurrected people for me many times, also it's cheaper if you've found his artifact for him. You asked for healing right? and, Welcome to the forum
i think it has something to do with alignment if you can raise dead. there have been times when i couldn't raise dead. that doesn't happen anymore because i just go back to the last saved file. when a character dies they lose a bunch of experience points, that sux too much. I've never been turned away from Jaroo. and yes Jaroo is much cheaper. Notice, that terjon acts differently to different character ty[es. half orcs get the cold shoulder from him. if you party started in an evil party setting he is terse at the onset. i don't think it's any actions that cause him to turn down raising the dead.
Thanks for your help. I was able to get help from Jaroo. Not sure why Tergon was unwilling to help out see as how I did get his artifact. But hten that and many other quest didn't seem to finish off properly. But alas that's for another thread. Cheers, Hooner
