My Top 10 movies: 10. Agora 9. True Grit 8. Inception 7. Winter's Bone 6. How to Train Your Dragon 5. Remember Me 4. The Fighter 3. Black Swan 2. I Am Love 1. The Social Network
Don't go see "Sucker Punch!". The charecters were just caricatures and the fight scenes are physics-free. All style and no substance. On the other end of the spectrum, "Battlefield Los Angeles" was gritty and realistic and you actually cared what happened to the chararcters. But you HAVE seen it all before. "Rango" was funny and entertaining. But most of the references won't mean anything unless you are a fan of classic westerns. Can you tell I go to movies with a bunch of guys?
Hey, where is Toy Story 3, Salt and Harry Porter. These are greatest movies in 2010. I like movies a lot.
They were both spammers. You can't see it now because you lose your signature when you get banned, but they were both spamming ads in their sigs. Anytime someone's (or something's) first post on the boards includes some generic comment ("I like movies!") and outside links, they are pretty reliably here under false pretenses. Still, the first guy/bot inadvertantly started a topic that might have some steam, so we should thank him for that. Trust in your friendly neighborhood moderators. With that in mind, I plan to see "Your Highness" this weekend with my favorite apes. I will report if the juvenile humor rises above fart joke level.
I havn't been to the movies for ages. There's been a lot which I wanted to see and never got around to it, the last one I saw was Despicable Me, which I thought was pretty funny
Last two I've seen: Black Swan (infuriatingly awesome) Rango (loved the little nods to the classic westerns)
Hmm, True Grit was an OK movie. But TBH I haven't seen anything from last/this year that made me go "wow". The last "great" movie I've seen was Valhalla Rising, though mostly for atmosphere and not plot.
Update on "Your Highness": It wasn't much of anything. The acting was kind of flat, so the juvenile humor was kind of flat. If you don't care what happens to the characters, then it isn't funny. The cinematography was gorgeous, the fight scenes were well staged and there is some nice nudity. My son and I both thought it would have been a better movie had it NOT been played for laughs. My advice, wait until it's out on DVD next week and rewatch "Willow" instead.
Well bot bashing time 10. Agora - is 2009 u stopid bastard 9. True Grit - John Wayne? 8. Inception - worst movie iv seen in years 7. Winter's Bone - potential to not be that bad after all 6. How to Train Your Dragon - yep, my kids would probably loved it 5. Remember Me - romantic drama rubbish 4. The Fighter - Mark Wahlberg should quit acting to save the planet 3. Black Swan - ok not bad, but still way overrated 2. I Am Love - wha? and also is 2009 1. The Social Network - propaganda baloney So anyway, even if the bots got banned they completed their agenda making us talk about their movies, kinda ironic :dribble:
