My boots of speed don't seem to work anymore

My boots of speed don't seem to work anymore. I used to be able to select them from the radial menu, but now I don't see them any more in the radial menu, even after resting. However, if I go into the inventory, unequip them, then re-equip them, then my stats change per the effects of wearing the boots. However, I can't unequip and then re-equip them in combat to gain the haste effect. Any advice?

 

it's probably a bug...

i had the same thing happen. i even transfered the boots to different characters. I was able to use it once and then it "broke"

 

I had this too, as everybody else. There
is a solution to that (or so I heard) you
just have to take them off and put on again.
(haven't checked it though) I think they are
designed to work for 10(?) rounds per day,
so you have to rest for 1 day and activate
them only in combat.

 

For some reason, daily use items only reset on map changes, rather than every 24 hours. So try going to a different location or level of the temple and see if they work again.
