To Cujo and anyone else who can answer this,

Do we have a way of making half-size monsters? I want to add a new monster based on the model of an existing one, but half the size. I know Cujo was looking into this (shrinking Lizard Men to make Kobolds - still think that is a brilliant idea :p)

Colum 6 in the protos, 100=%. so 50 = half size, no enty means 100%, 200 = double size

So (for future reference) is it that easy to make my kobolds?

FYI, ToEE World Builder v1.0 will make it easier to modify the model scale: you'll be able to both modify scale for protos (column #6, just as Cujo said), and for mobile object instances (so you can have different scale values for one and the same proto)

the problem with your kobold is the skin. Its just how the models seem to work, but if theres something allready good enough...

Cujo, what about colour? is it easy to change the colour? I remember you having issues with the clothes.

the model seems to find its texture using an internal code, which means that you could change the picture but then it'd change on the thing that was the original model as well or if not changing the pic or trying to make a new pic you'd be stuck with the original texture. seems to be like that for everything in the protos that doesn't have a colour entry with the exception anything with a race entry.

Hmm... Yeah, every proto editor (and toeewb, up till now) have listed #62 as object color, but there are certain considerations that make me doubt very much that this column actually has a lot (if anything) to do with color...

I'll keep you posted in the corresponding "PROTOS.TAB Investigation Agency" thread about this, if it gets broken down.

It is colour but not as like you think, it's not a pallet, it points to the materials.mes and the addmesh.mes which have the same numbers for every item and go in banks of 100 for example 1200-1299: leather gloves. go have a look I bet its got 1200 in the colour colum.

the materials.mes and addmesh.mes point the game to more files see here for my explanation
