I am new to the game/board so I would like to say hey first, so "hey"... Now that that is out of the way I have a bit of a problem. I installed the latest co8 mod complete with the "buy your own starting equipment" which is a lot of fun...but i always end up stating with like 22gp to spread across all five PCs, which does not work very well...I have a pretty firm hold of programming knowledge, and i'm not afraid to hexedit, so if someone could point me in the right direction I would freakin love it...
Are you actually trying to buy the gear, or just looking at what your GP says in anyones inventory, because you usually have about 200 plat or so, which is 2k gold. It might be a bug that I'm not aware of though. I saw a similar post concerning someone not being able to buy any items, and the suggested fix was to uninstall the module from the toeefe, remove it from your program files via the control panel, and reinstall. But before you do all that, check to see if you aren't overlooking the plat that you should have to buy your starting equipment with. Disclaimer: I am not a modder, nor have any modding capabilities.
if you need more gold a quick was is to use the console, type "give 7002" without the quote marks. that'll give you 50 gold
I'm having this problem too, but the uninstall-trick didn't work. Any ideas? I managed to buy my characters some weapons but they're still stark naked. I could just go and play with the normal starting armor but I was really wanting to wear the new items. ^^(i'm also new to the boards btw, hi)
If you feel that the starting gold is too low, then console some more in as Cujo says. (open console with shift and ¬ (uk keyboard) ).
